Backlit Bar and Wall Panels at Masala Zone, London

Spanlite designed and supplied bespoke backlit bar and wall panels for Masala Zone in London.
The project transformed the interior of this vibrant restaurant in Piccadilly Circus.
Tailored illuminated glass features therefore created a seamless and striking design statement.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Masala Zone commissioned Spanlite to deliver feature backlit bar and wall panels as part of a major interior renovation.
The project included a curved illuminated bar front as well as matching backlit wall panels in the bathrooms.
Each glass panel enhanced the interior colour palette and therefore elevated the restaurant’s atmosphere.
As a result, the project delivered a cohesive, design-led lighting solution that elevates the dining experience.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Spanlite supplied Stratum Image Glass paired with dimmable Backlit Array Panels to create the bespoke installation.
The team retrofitted the curved backlit bar panels into rebates in the existing bar structure, which ensured a seamless fit.
Designers carefully selected artwork from the image library and recoloured it to match the venue’s scheme.
Moreover, they engineered the layout so that, although composed of several panels, the glass design maintains a continuous appearance across the curved surface.
The lighting design team tuned the system to 4000K LEDs for the bar and 2700K LEDs behind the backlit wall panels, which created the ideal ambience for each space.
To align with the client’s overall design palette, the digital onyx images at the core of the glass panels have been recoloured to complement the surrounding décor.
Spanlite’s specialist installation team delivered the project with precision, ensuring reliable performance and uniform illumination.
